Everything in Vogue brings together work made over the last six years by British artist Graham Dolphin along with new drawings made especially for this publication. These intricate drawings are made by tracing every element of the magazine's content – every shoe, every bag, every word. The compulsion of re-presenting the objects, images, sounds and music of fashion as well as popular culture forms the centre of Dolphin's artistic practice. His series of manipulated magazines, re-castings of perfume bottles, and distortion of music turn the familiar into the surreal by direct, simple and obsessive intervention. Dolphin's work will be exhibited as part of MIMA's (Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art) pre-programme in December 2004.
