This Halloween the Vardy education team held the 5th Annual Great Pumpkin Carving Competition at the Valley Road Primary School.

One hundred year six children took part in the largest free pumpkin carving competition in Britain. The carved pumpkins were split into categories including scariest, funniest, best carved, and most original. The pumpkins were exhibited and judged by the Deputy Mayor of Sunderland, who did a wonderful job of selecting the four winners.
