Exploring Human Movement through Photography and Video To coincide with the exhibition of Mark Neville: The Jump Films, we will be working with the Reg Vardy Saturday Art Club, which now takes place at the University of Sunderland’s new CitySpace building. High-speed photography is used to deepen our understanding of the world by freezing time or by affording us the opportunity to analyse fractions of a second in greater detail. This two-day workshop offers young people an opportunity to explore creative and experimental approaches to photographing people through a range of fun physical activities and high-speed photography exercises. Learners will take on a range of challenging roles including photographer, performer, musical composer, choreographer and video editor. The participants will work as a team to create a collaborative artwork that will be presented as a video and photographic installation at Ashburne House in Sunderland as part of the AV Festival 10: Energy Late & Live Preview event on the 9th March. The workshops will take place at 10.30-12.30 on Saturday 13th February and 20th February at the CitySpace Building, City Campus, Sunderland. Places are limited, so please contact us at info@ccaprojects.org.uk if you would like more information on how to get involved with the workshops! The workshops will be facilitated by Shirley Anne Wood, Adam Phillips and Tom Madge. For further information regarding this, and other projects, visit ccaprojects.org.uk |
